Overview

There are times when you just want to get the hell out of the city – well do – and come to Katherine for some sophisticated (and adventurous) country living.

It is a tropical paradise – home to the towering Katherine Gorge and is right on the edge of the Kakadu Wilderness – home to Barramundi, buffs and a whole lot more.

At Bauhinia Health we believe that being a GP is a valuable specialty at the forefront of our Australian health system – delivering best-practice primary health care that not only provides access and equity, but also coordinates health care management and integration with other external providers where necessary – the result being improved quality of life and wellbeing. As a registered GP or GP Registrar, we want you to be part of this solution – without forgoing great restaurants and cappuccinos!

Bauhinia Health is a mixed-billing private GP Health Clinic that is supported by specialist medical and allied health services and is committed to high quality training in generalist tropical medicine to further enhance your skill base. You will be based in Katherine (just 3 hours’ drive from Darwin). Our remuneration package is generous and includes percentage of billings, with both flexible packaging and flexible (FIFO) working arrangements available. Not only do you get to make a difference to the well being of a population of 11,000 people but you get to live and work in one of Australia’s little-known treasures – Katherine so punches above its weight! This is not just a job opportunity this is a lifestyle opportunity that few get to experience. So, if you are ready for a tree change – a tropical tree change – then call so we can arrange for you to see for yourself.
