About Summerland Skin Cancer Clinic

Summerland Skin Cancer Clinic is a family owned, private billing medical centre located in East Lismore, NSW, a DPA location with the potential for Workforce Incentive Program – Doctor Stream payments. East Lismore is 30 minutes from the Ballina-Byron Bay coastline, enjoying access to some of the best beaches and most beautiful countryside in Australia. It is well serviced by multiple schools (public and private), as well as shopping centres and airports. Unfortunately, our region has one of the highest rates of melanoma in the world, and we are passionate about changing this.

The practice principal is Dr Tristan Hicks, a specialist GP, accredited skin cancer doctor and Fellow of both the RACGP and Skin Cancer College Australasia. Dr Hicks is supported by Dr Michael Krumins, a specialist GP who has also completed significant post-fellowship training in skin cancer. Summerland Skin Cancer Clinic has full time practice nurse support and friendly reception staff, a dedicated treatment room, off-street parking, and is fully computerised using Best Practice software. The clinic offers both medical and surgical skin cancer treatments, including daylight photodynamic therapy. There are no weekend or on-call obligations. Assistance with further on-site skin cancer training is available with the practice principal. We are close to both private and public hospitals, with general and plastic surgery as well as medical/radiation oncology services available locally.
